MINDFULNESS FOR TEENS – 1 1/2 Hour Workshops  

These 1 ½ hour long workshops teach teens simple yet effective mindfulness practices. Throughout the workshops, participants will create a mindful toolbox of skills by examining and defining the foundations of stress, understanding self-care, experiencing the power of breath and yoga, utilizing positive coping strategies, cultivating resilience, building positive relationships and setting future life intentions.

Workshops:  

Mindfulness for Teens (15-18 years) – EXAM STRESS
Feeling stressed about exams?  This workshop will focus on how to positively cope with EXAM STRESS.  Participants will begin to build a mindful toolbox by examining and defining the foundations of stress, understanding the importance of self-care and experiencing the power of breath and yoga.

Mindfulness for Teens (15-18 years) – ATTITUDES AND MINDFUL QUALITIES
This workshop will focus on cultivating awareness of positive experiences and pleasant moments in life. Participants will explore gratitude, and other mindful qualities, as well as practice heartfulness meditation to build appreciation in their lives.

Mindfulness for Teens (15-18 years) – VISION BOARDING
This workshop will focus on exploring who you are, purpose and desires in your life. Participants will set intentions and reflect on their personal goals and vision. They will walk away with their new sparkly vision boards and are encouraged to view them daily.

Mindfulness for Teens (15-18 years) – BUILDING RESILIENCE
This workshop will focus on building positive and beneficial relationships with yourself and others. Participants will learn to mindfully approach communication, cultivate respect in all relationships and understand the power of letting go and forgiveness.

 

Who should attend
This workshop is for teens ages 15-18 years who want to learn to embrace their inner calm within a safe, soothing and fun environment.  No previous experience with mindfulness or meditation is necessary to attend this program. 

Materials
Participants can use our meditation Zafu cushions and yoga mats during the workshop or are welcome to bring their own. Chairs will also be available. It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable causal clothing.

Workshop Fee: $35 (HST included) per workshop.

In order to make the workshops accessible to everyone we have a “Generosity Policy”.  Should you find the fee an obstacle, please decide what works for you and offer whatever you can upon attendance. We appreciate any contribution you wish to offer.  Registration for the workshop is still required as space is limited.
