SUMMARY:The Ocean Pause: A Restorative Retreat for Women in Midlife and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:A Weekend of Restoration\, Reconnection\, and Deep Rest\nRegistration closing soon!\nOctober 16–18\, 2026 \nHosted at Quarterdeck Beachside Villas & Grill in Summerville Centre\, Nova Scotia \nFacilitated by Jacqueline Milner\, Registered Psychologist\, Certified Menopause Lifestyle Practitioner\, and Director of Breathe Mindfulness Centre \nYou are the anchor. But even the anchor needs the shore.\nFor women who spend so much of their lives caring\, leading\, supporting\, and holding things together\, and for those navigating the transformative tides of midlife\, this is your invitation to exhale. \nSo much of life is spent holding family\, work\, responsibility\, and the quiet emotional labour that keeps everything moving forward. In that constancy\, it is easy to lose your own rhythm. \nThis fall\, we invite you to the edge of the Atlantic to gently put the weight down. To be held by the ocean long enough to remember who you are when you are not needed\, only present. \nThe Intention\nCreating space to restore what has been depleted.\nThis retreat is grounded in evidence-based mindfulness\, self-compassion\, gentle movement\, breathwork\, deep relaxation\, and guided rest\, with particular sensitivity to women’s nervous systems and the physical and emotional transitions of midlife. \nThe intention is to support: \n\nNervous-system regulation and emotional settling\nPhysical and mental replenishment\nImproved rest and sleep\nA renewed sense of steadiness and inner spaciousness\nMeaningful connection with yourself\, others\, and the natural world\nPractices that can be carried gently into everyday life\n\nWhat the Weekend Includes\nMindful Mocktails and Opening Savoring Practice\nA guided sensory welcome introducing the practice of mindful savoring: lingering with what is pleasant and noticing what feels nourishing. Through taste\, scent\, pacing\, and pause\, the opening evening sets the tone for slowing down\, arriving fully\, and listening inward. \nGentle Yoga and Breathwork\nGrounding morning sessions of slow\, mindful movement and breath awareness\, designed with midlife bodies and varying energy levels in mind. All movement is optional and choice-based\, and no previous yoga experience is required. \nThe Changing Tides Circle: Exploring Women’s Transitions\nAn optional\, gently facilitated circle offering science-informed insight and practical guidance for navigating perimenopause\, menopause\, and post-menopause. \nTogether\, we will explore: \n\nCommon physical\, emotional\, and nervous-system changes\nExperiences many women carry quietly\nEvidence-informed strategies to support energy\, mood\, sleep\, and stress\nConnection and shared perspective without pressure to disclose\n\nListening is participating. There is no expectation to share. \nTime in Nature\nOpportunities to slow down beside the Atlantic\, walk the shoreline\, awaken the senses\, and reconnect with the restorative rhythms of the natural world. \nEvening Practices for Settling and Deep Rest\nFriday evening begins with Settling the Waters\, a guided relaxation incorporating calming breathwork\, progressive muscle relaxation\, and body awareness to help release physical tension and prepare the body and mind for restful sleep. \nSaturday evening offers Ocean-Inspired Yoga Nidra: The Stillness Beneath the Waves\, a guided practice supporting nervous-system regulation\, deeper stillness\, and restorative sleep. \nSpacious\, Unstructured Time\nIntentional space for rest\, reflection\, ocean walks\, the sauna\, the pool\, journalling\, quiet connection\, or simply doing nothing at all. \nThis protected time is not a gap in the schedule. It is part of the design\, because restoration cannot be rushed. \nHere\, rest is not a pause from the weekend. It is the heart of it. \nView the full weekend itinerary HERE\nThe Setting\nSet along Nova Scotia’s South Shore\, Quarterdeck Beachside Villas & Grill offers a naturally calming coastal environment where the rhythm of the ocean supports restoration without effort. \nThe Retreat Package\n$599 plus HST per person\, based on double occupancy\nYour booking includes: \n\nTwo nights’ accommodation in a Seawood two-bedroom apartment\nA full kitchen and ocean-view terrace\nThe complete Ocean Pause retreat experience and all facilitated sessions\nA curated welcome gift to support your restoration\n\nSingle-occupancy bookings are available. Oceanfront accommodations and rooms with private hot tubs are also available at an additional rate. Please ask the Quarterdeck about available options when booking. \nMeals are not included. Guests may prepare meals in their private kitchen or reserve a table at the Quarterdeck’s oceanfront restaurant and order from the à la carte menu. SUMMARY:Sound Immersion & Guided Hypnosis for Grounded Self-Assurance
DESCRIPTION:What if creating change didn’t always require trying harder?\nJoin Pamela\, a Certified Hypnotist and Sound Therapist for a deeply relaxing experience combining the restorative sounds of crystal singing bowls with guided hypnosis designed to support grounded self-assurance\, inner calm\, and positive change. \nHypnosis isn’t about giving up control. In many ways\, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It’s a state of deeply relaxed\, focused attention where you remain aware and able to choose what feels right for you. Think of it as a collaborative conversation between you and the hypnotist\, your mind remains your own\, and suggestions that don’t fit your beliefs or values can simply fall away. \nIf you’ve experienced guided meditation\, hypnosis may feel surprisingly familiar. The difference is that hypnosis intentionally uses focused attention\, imagination and suggestion to work with some of the deeper\, more automatic patterns of the mind where your habits\, expectations and responses that can influence how you think\, feel and act live. \nAnd here’s the beautiful part: you don’t have to “try” to be hypnotized. You can simply get comfortable\, listen\, imagine\, and allow yourself to experience it. \nWe’ll begin with guided hypnosis for grounded self-assurance\, then let the sounds and vibrations of the crystal bowls carry you into an extended period of rest and integration. \nCome curious. Come exactly as you are. \nInvestment: $40 (hst included) \nTo learn more or book:\nvisit: blessyourpath.com\nemail: bl***********@***il.com\ncall: 902-292-3433 \n  \n*To our valued clients: \n Please note that workshops and events at Breathe Mindfulness Centre may be facilitated by licensed mental health professionals or by community-based facilitators. While grounded in practices that support mental and emotional wellbeing\, these offerings are educational in nature and focus on general skill-building. They are not psychological services and are not intended to substitute for or replace therapy. \n\n  \n
