Maria McEachern, B.Kin, B.Ed

Maria was born and raised in dynamic downtown Dartmouth. She is a proud educator, life-long learner and advocate for health and wellness. Her favorite activities include traveling, hiking and yoga. In 2014, she completed a Mindful-Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR) and was immediately hooked on the power of Mindfulness. Maria truly believes mindfulness practice can transform the mind, body and soul. She is on a mission to share this life-changing practice with children and teens. Maria completed mindfulness training for both children (Mindful Schools, 2015) and teens (Stressed Teens, 2016). She is also trained with ‘Groovy Kids Yoga’ (2015), which she embeds into her mindfulness programming.  Maria frequently uses Mindfulness techniques in her classroom and has led successful Mindfulness Workshops for children and teens, in the past.        Maria is thrilled to be teaching ‘Mindfulness For Teens’ at the Breathe Mindfulness Centre and can’t wait to share the gift of authentic connection and resilience, to youth in the community.
