Stress is an inevitable part of life that is experienced by everyone. When stress is not useful, severe and/or chronic, it can have a significant negative impact on your well-being. In this 4-week program, we will explore what stress is, and its impact on our well-being and be offered guidance and practical tools to decrease stress, increase resilience, and enhance joy and overall wellness.
In this program, participants will meet as a group for 2 hours once a week for 4 weeks. Each week, guidance, exercises, and tools will be offered to address one of the 4 dimensions of wellness: Body, Mind, Emotions and Spirit. Mindfulness principles and practices will be a consistent theme throughout the program given the increasing scientific support of its helpfulness in working skillfully with stress and other difficult emotions. Home practice will be encouraged, and resources provided to support your well-being after the program has ended. This program intends to teach you how to care for yourself fully, build resilience and increase calm and happiness in your life.
This program is open to anyone who would like to learn ways to reduce stress, increase resilience and enhance wellness and joy in their lives as well as experience some of the practices of mindfulness. Meditation experience is not required, all are welcome!
